holy cow

what a gorgeous day. well, mike and i set out early this morning to hit a couple job interviews. it looks like i'm a shoe-in for the scanning job, albeit part-time for now. mike's was a bust. anyway, after that, we went and got a new bank account. we came home and cancelled our beaverton job interviews (because the hour each way commute would put a big dent in what money we do make). so, after that, we took full advantage of this awesome day and walked up to the side street tavern, which is off of belmont, and has pretty nice outdoor seating. we had a couple cocktails and now we're back home. i swear, the portland sunshine is just amazing. i even got a little bit of a sunburn from sitting outside. anyway, we had great conversation and we're getting ready for a yummy steak salad. holy boring, i know. we're just getting to know portland little by little--without blowing all our savings (which would be easy to do). i'm avoiding hawthorne street because i'd just spend $$ there in all the great boutiques.

tomorrow, mike is going to get an emissions test on the car, and hopefully get his new oregon drivers license. we'll see. you think nebraska's is expensive...oregon DL is $58.00!! we're gonna have mike get his first, since i'm not really driving, and my NE license is good for another 5 years. once i get a job, i'll get a OR drivers license.

okay, well i'm off to make some dinner. hopefully tomorrow we'll have updates on employment, etc.
