the weather forecast for this weekend is fuill of sunshine and near 80-degree weather. in an effort to save money and control our spending, we've decided that starting tomorrow and until monday, we are only allotted $40. this includes bus, food, drinks, everything. i'm looking forward to a weekend of laying around in the park, painting more watercolors, and this:

today, we had a really pretty wonderful, relaxing day. another walk up on hawthorne to return a movie and rent two more (mike's watching god of war with nicholas cage, right now, and it's really pretty horrible--hence me blogging this right now). we walked up to taco del mar for mexican takeout (and burritos the size of our heads). oh yeah, and about 4.5 hours out of this day was spent waiting for the UPS guy to show up. yeah, he'd marked 2:00-5:00 for today's delivery and instead he showed up at 6:30. so "what can brown do for you?" they can make you wait for an INEXCUSABLE amount of time, and then NOT apologize for the delay. i've been an avid disgruntled UPS customer (against my will) for a few years now, and i thought maybe it was just omaha that sucked so badly. well, i guess UPS's modus operandi is the same in oregon, too.

alrighty then, movie's over! tomorrow: more laying about and enjoying these last unemployed days in portland.
