hey everyone! sorry for the lag in updates. we arrived in portland safely, only to have the subaru's battery and brake lights turn on and the power steering go out. on top of trying to find a mechanic in this city, we've been trying to find a new bed and a futon for the living room (we got the futon today). our neighborhood is so awesome! there's shops and a grocery store all within 3 blocks of our place. i get almost zero cell phone reception in my apartment, so we're going to have a landline put in this week. same with the internet. we have a very weak wifi signal (hence, no pictures right now). we'll hopefully be getting high speed internet this week as well. please keep checkin the blog, we'll definitely be updating whenever we get a chance!

p.s. our futon kicks ass, so you know you all need to come up and sleep on it! love you all!
