wel, lish and i traveled to a new part of portland that i'd never seen. it's the pearl district, or as the locals call it: "northwest trendy-third street". it's several blocks of great shops and boutiques. there's urban outfitters, lush, pottery barn, williams & sonoma, etc. it's pretty quaint and sorta touristy but it's nice. i think that when mike and i move, i'm going to look for a place over there. rent's a little higher there, but it's cleaner and more quiet. anyhoo, it was a pretty fun time. we walked all over the city today and yesterday which was nice. i feel like i'm getting a really good feel for the city.

i ate the best gyro i've ever had today. there's a small greek deli over on burnside that lish knew about. YUM.
speaking of culinary goodness: we made sushi last night. i think what we were able to make for about $15 would've cost over $50 in a restaraunt. and it was scrumptious!
