well, things are pretty great here. i got "promoted" to full time at borders this week. this means i get guaranteed hours and pretty awesome benefits. also, borders full-time employees all get a $30 gift card each pay period. it's redeemable in the cafe, so all my coffee will be paid for! i'm doing really well there. the regional manager came in today and when introduced to her, she said "oh yes, i've heard great things about anne". so i guess they like my stuff.

i'm happy for the weekend, this will be my last 3-day weekend. from now on i work tuesday-saturday.

i've got some ideas for pictures to take this weekend, so i'll hook you guys up with them in a couple of days!

hope everyone is well. we're thinking of you all.

love, anne

allright! does mike go on your insurance, then?

nope. we'd have to be gay for him to be eligible for "qualified domestic partner" status. i guess border's DOES discriminate against marital status, contrary to their mission statement.

married or not insurance bites in the U S of A ! oh canada, your not perfect, but i wish i gave birth there. miguel, introduce yourself to annie's coworkers the way our "halloween bowl" would, that might get the ball rolling on the "qualified domestic partner"status, just a friendly suggestion. "that tickles, ughl, that tiiickles."

GOod work at work!! I am not in the least surprised that they like you there. A late happy birthday to Mike. I hope the weather breaks often enough to keep you smiling, Anne. We had a good rain last week and everything is so very green and growing. I have been picking about a quart of strawberries every day, and we have been eating them all. Our broccoli is about done, we have eaten all of that too. We have beautiful Romaine and iceberg lettuce and spicy arugula. We just planted sweet corn and sweet potatoes this week. I miss you both and wish I could jump on a plane a come see you. I will call you on Sunday. Love from Mom
