i had a nice long chat with tom and katie this morning. i've come to the decision that i really don't like shopping for new friends, and i think i'll just stick with the ones i have, regardless of the fact that they live in nebraska. that, coupled with the fact that the majority of people i've met so far (mostly through work) tend to be really sort of immature. i'm sure this mentality will change, but frankly: i moved here with my best friend in tow, what else could i need? i think the bottom line is this: i am lazy. the notion of getting to know new people is tiring. and i sorta like being anonymous. jeez, i'm turning into my father! hahaha!
mike's folks will be here in a couple of weeks. we're so excited to see them! i love seeing familiar faces here--and we can't wat to show them around! safe trip you guys!
to all you moms out there:
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
love, anne

Yeah, I hear ya about the friends thing. You can have social friends and if you're lucky you'll find a true friend. But true friends are always there, no matter where they are.
there's folks out there--it just takes a really long time to establish a good, lasting friendship with someone who won't suck after a while.
Great site loved it alot, will come back and visit again.
